Georgia’s national rugby team has won the 2019 Rugby Europe championship after defeating Russia 22 to 6. The match was held on 17 March in the Russian city of Krasnodar.

The Georgian team has remained undefeated throughout the championship, beating Germany (52 – 3), Belgium (46 – 6), Spain (24 – 10), and Romania (18 – 9).

Even before playing against Russia, it was already certain that Georgia would win the competition after their victory against Germany in the previous game. It is the second consecutive year that Georgia has won the championship.
