Georgian Karatekas’ Success in Poland

On May 12-13 of 2019, Szczecin, Poland hosted annual international tournament. Georgians participated for the first time in this prestigious event and quite successfully; Andria Karbaia won a Gold medal in Individual Kata (13-14 year boys’ category) and Mzechabuk Makharadze brought home a silver medal from Individual Kata (Men’s category).

 Around 1000 participants from 15 countries around the globe took a part in the contest. The tournament was organized by WUKF – World Union of Karate-Do Federations. Georgian Karatekas participating in the competition are members of Georgian Shotokan Karate-Do Confederation.
