Georgian Athlete Wins U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships

Georgian athletes successfully competed at U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships, an international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the European Canoe Association (ECA). 

Georgian canoeist Badri Kavelashvili has won the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships held in the city of Recice, Czech Republic.

Kavelashvili was the best in U23 K1 200 meters final, followed by Dmytro Danylenko from Ukraine and Strahinja Stefanovic from Serbia.

Mariami Kerdikashvili, a female athlete from Georgia, won a bronze medal as she was third in the women's U23 C1 500 meters event, while Anastasiia Chetverikova from Ukraine was the fastest and Ladicova from Slovakia finished second.
